HHBA launches West Harlem Coupon Book
We’re excited to share the West Harlem Coupon Book, created by local merchants to celebrate—and strengthen—our neighborhood’s small business community. Inside are 27 great deals from restaurants, cafés, shops, and creative spaces across West Harlem. Think free treats, serious discounts, and reasons to explore places you already love (and a few you might not know yet). Offers are valid through December 16, 2025. We distributed 800 copies directly to apartments throughout the neighborhood, and you can also pick up a copy at Red Kup and Cafe One while supplies last. Verizon Seminar Now that the 2024 tax season is over, it is time to reflect on how we can save time and money setting up more efficient systems for next year’s tax season. Vexilla Konkobo’s passion for business accounting goes all the way back to high school! After graduation, she earned a B.A. in Accounting from University of the Virgin Islands, and a Masters in Accountancy from Bowling Green State University. Afterwards, she spent 5 years at Morgan Stanley and 10 years as an agent at the IRS. In her last few years at the IRS, she participated in the management training program and managed a team of agents. Vexilla decided to start her own business specifically to help small business owners- especially immigrants, women, and people of color.
